Nomura celebrate its 100th Anniversary on December 25, 2025. Our Group Purpose of “We aspire to create a better world by harnessing the power of financial markets” embodies our Founder’s Principles, which have been passed down over the past century. ～Outline～ In April 2020, Kentaro Okuda was appointed CEO of Nomura Group. He introduced a new management vision to “achieving sustainable growth by helping solve social issues” and put forward a strategy to take Nomura to the “next stage of growth”. At the same time, the COVID-19 pandemic struck. Amid this unprecedented crisis, Nomura forged alliances with regional financial institutions in Japan and launched Nomura Greentech overseas. Nomura also established the Content Company, the Digital Company, and the Investment Management Division, while accelerating the green and digital transformations, carried out numerous transformative changes without constraints from conventional thinking. In 2024, Nomura announced its Group Purpose.
